About Linguine
A Danish grammar app for English speakers, built by someone who's actually using it.
The story
After about a year in Denmark, my two-and-a-half-year-old daughter could understand and speak more Danish than me. One day she asked me to say "mad" — the Danish word for food. After a few attempts, when I still couldn't get the pronunciation right, she started crying. That was my wake-up call.
I tried the usual language apps. They were designed to keep me swiping, tapping, and collecting streaks — but I wasn't actually learning Danish grammar. I could recognize words in a multiple-choice list, but I couldn't form a correct sentence on my own.
So I started building Linguine. The idea is simple: focus on Danish grammar, make you type everything, and use AI to explain your mistakes — not just mark them wrong. It's the digital version of sitting down with a textbook, a notebook, and a patient teacher.
